Mount Nun Climbing Expedition (7135 M | 23409 ft) itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI (216 M)
Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi, You will meet our representative and warm welcome with traditional manner and garlands, followed by transfer to hotel for check in and overnight stay.
DAY 2: DELHI (IMF VISIT)
Morning after breakfast proceed to Indian mountaineering foundation (IMF) for briefing with the Director of IMF, Liaison Officer and complete some paperwork. You can also visit the museum and library of IMF to get more information about Indian Himalayas and your expedition, afternoon free for leisure.

DAY 3: DELHI - LEH (3,524 M)
Morning after an early breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to board a flight to Leh. Maximum flight duration is 2 Hrs, and you will enjoy the fascinating view of Snow covered mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh during this journey.
Note: Arrive Leh airport you need to fill the Foreigner registration form to enter Ladakh union territory.
Upon arrival in Leh drive to hotel for check-in. Rest of the day for Acclimatisation. Later in the day meet and greet with Team Shikhar (Sherpa, Kitchen Staff, Guides), Shikhar Team leader will review your climbing gear. If you need something you can buy from Leh local market, overnight at hotel.

Day 04: LEH
Morning after breakfast you will have an acclimatization hike to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Return to your hotel by the later part of the afternoon. Evening you can walk down to the nearest market on your own or spend some time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: LEH - KARGIL (2,676 M)
Morning After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Kargil, approx 230kms drive. You will witness once again to the Barren Mountain and wilderness, lunch enroute. Overnight stay at hotel in Kargil.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Note: Kargil is a last place where you can get good mobile network and WIFI Internet connection.
DAY 6: KARGIL - TANGOL (3,700 M)
Morning after breakfast liaison officer along with Shikhar representative will complete remaining paperwork and formalities in the local administration offices.
Later in the day, checkout from hotel and drive to Tangol village approximately 04 hrs drive, enroute you will see the first view of Mount Nun 7135, Mount Kun 7077 M, and Stop from taking picture and enjoy local masala tea. Afternoon reach at Tangol village, overnight stay in the tents, evening you can walk around the local village.

DAY 7: TANGOL - BASE CAMP (4,600 M)
Morning after breakfast handover your bags to the Porters, today we climb to moraine and continue to base camp. This involves 5-7 hrs trek. Upon arrival establish your base camp and overnight stay in tent.

DAY 8: TO DAY 19: BASE CAMP - SUMMIT - BASE CAMP
Next 12 days are for attempt to submit Mt. Nun (7135 M) and back to Base Camp. See the below tentative program after the base camp to summit, it will be change according the weather condition. The Expedition Leader and our Sherpa will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan

DAY 09: ACCLIMATISATION DAY
Acclimatisation day at Base Camp, you can go for little hike around the Base camp.
DAY 10: BASE CAMP TO CAMP 1 (5468 M)
Morning after breakfast move to camp 1, We also need to fix the rope to reach at camp 1, Climb and establish Camp 1
DAY 11 and 12: ACCLIMATISATION DAYS
Get acclimatisation for high altitude.
DAY 13: CAMP 1 TO CAMP 2 (5990 M)
Climb up to Camp 2
DAY 14 and 15: ACCLIMATISATION DAY
Two more days for acclimatisation.
DAY 16: CAMP 2 TO SUMMIT CAMP (6436 M)
Climb to Summit Camp
DAY 17: SUMMIT CAMP – SUMMIT (7135 M) – CAMP 2
Early morning attempt Mt. Nun 7135M, reach at top and see the panoramic view of Karakoram range.
After some time descend to Camp 2. Overnight in Camp 2.
DAY 18 and 19: RESERVE DAY FOR SUMMIT
Two days reserve for summit. If the weather is not in our favour.
DAY 20: CAMP 2 – BASE CAMP
Today morning pack you gears and all belonging and trek back to Base Camp. Reach at base camp and celebrate the Success of summit. Overnight in tent.

DAY 21: BASE CAMP – TANGOL – KARGIL
Morning after breakfast handover your bags to the porters and trek down to Tangol village. Letter board in the vehicle and drive back to Kargil. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 22: KARGIL - LEH
Morning after relaxed breakfast drive to Leh. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
DAY 23: LEH - DELHI
Morning drive to Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche airport to catch the flight for Delhi. Reach at Delhi airport and drive to IMF for De-briefing, you need to summit the expedition report and your experience (valuable feedbacks and inputs) in Indian Himalaya. The Liaison Officer's official duty will finish here. After De-briefing drive to hotel for overnight stay. Evening enjoy the farewell dinner in Delhi with Shikhar team.

DAY 24: DELHI DEPART
Morning after breakfast check out from hotel, our airport transfer will drop you at Indira Gandhi Airport to Depart for onward destination. It was lovely to having you in India, See you soon.

Q-1 What would the temperature be on this trip?
Ans: You can expect the temperatures to drop to around 15°C to 25°C at the higher camps on the way up. The higher you go, the colder it would get. The weather here is always quite unpredictable, so you need to be well prepared with the necessary clothing to keep you warm and dry.
Q- 2 What sort of mobile connectivity is there on this trip?
Ans: BSNL has the best connectivity here in the Leh Ladakh area, which is followed by Airtel. Apart from these, most of the other mobile operators such as Idea and Vodafone also operate in the Leh region.
Take note that only the post-paid numbers will work in Jammu and Kashmir regions, and prepaid connections will stop working as soon as you enter the Ladakh area. On and Off coverage of the mobile networks is available during this trip (mostly BSNL).
Q- 3 What kind of accommodation will be there on this trip?
Ans: Guesthouses/hotel accommodations are provided in Delhi, Kargil, and Leh on several days of the trip.
Q- 4 What is the min & max age limit for this trip?
Ans: The min age limit is 16 years, but minors (16 & 17 years old) must also be accompanied by a parent or a guardian throughout the trip. If you are over 60 years, please bring a medical certificate from a doctor stating that you are suitable for adventurous activities such as trekking and mountain climbing.
NOTE: Satellite phones and certain Garmin devices are prohibited in India.
