Mount Chaukhamba - I Expedition (7138 M | 23418 Ft)

Overview

Mount Chaukhamba is a four pillar mountain as Chaukhamba I, 7318 meter, Chaukhamba II 7068 meter, Chaukhamba III 6974 meter, Chaukhamba IV 6854 meter. It lies between the Gangotri glacier in the west, the Bhagirathi glacier in the north and the Satopanth glacier in the east. The four peaks constituting the Chaukhamba massif, situated in the Garhwal Himalaya, are challenging requiring technical skill. In year 1952 Mt. Chaukhamba was first time scaled successful by a French team. Chaukhamba is a mountain massif in the Gangotri Group of the Garhwal Himalaya. Its main summit, Chaukhamba I, is the highest peak in the group. Shikhar travels organized last expedition to Mt. Chaukhamba I in year 2019.
