A beautiful area surrounded by the sky-piercing peaks of the snow-capped Himalayas, Zanskar and Karakoram ranges, which is further golden by the crystal waters of the Shyok, Zanskar and Indus rivers. The natural wonder that leaves travelers stunned is the magnetic hill. This hill is located outside the city. It is said that it negates gravity and pulls the vehicles up. Leh is a major center of Buddhism and has many important monasteries. Travelers can visit several monasteries and get acquainted with the ancient culture of the area. There are old-time paintings on the walls, in which meditation, therapeutic and spiritual activities have been mentioned.
