Overview

Spiti Valley is a major tourist destination located at an altitude of 12,500 feet above sea level in the state of Himachal Pradesh, with only 250 sunny days in a year. Long winding roads and valleys welcome you as you step into the Spiti Valley offering an unforgettable glimpse of the cold desert and snow-capped mountains. Spiti Valley is one of the coldest and most beautiful places in the country. About 6 months of the year i.e. summer season is such that when Spiti is directly accessible via motorway.

The word Spiti means 'The Middle Land', as the Spiti Valley separates India from Tibet. Spiti is a sparsely populated region which is a paradise for adventure lovers. There are many trekking trails where tourists can enjoy trekking. All these treks lead from Kaza (capital of Spiti from where you make your base camp) to various peaks from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountains. The hill ropeway from Kibber to Chichum is also a major attraction which offers spectacular views of the ghat below.

Spiti Valley Tour itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Chandigarh – Shimla (2,276M) - Drive: 114 kms -  Time: 05 hrs. - Altitude: 2,276M
Arrive Chandigarh meet our representative and drive to Shimla, on arrival check-in to hotel, evening visit Mall Road. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Shimla – Kalpa (2,960M)- Drive: 232 kms - Time: 08 hrs. - Altitude: 2,960M
Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and depart to Kalpa, on arrival check in to the hotel. Evening visit Kalpa Monastery and local village. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Kalpa – Kaza - Drive: 217 kms -  Time: 08 hrs. - Altitude: 3,800M
Morning after breakfast start your thrilling journey towards to Kaza via Indo Tibetan highway, en route stop at Khab and witness the confluence of Spiti and Sutlej river, from here you can also see the view of Mt. Reo Purgyil, which is Himachal’s tallest mountain peak. For lunch we will stop at Nako lake, have lunch and click some pictures besides the lake. Arrive Kaza late in the evening, check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Day excursion of Spiti Valley
On this day we will take you to the world’s highest post office at Hikkim village later visit world’s highest village connected with motorable road, Komik. Visit Langza where you see the Buddha Statue. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza

Day 05: Kaza – Pin valley – Kaza 
Morning post breakfast we will take you for a day excursion of Pin Valley, visit Kungi village and Monastery. After lunch visit the famous Ki Monastery at an altitude of 4,120M, later we will take you to the world’s highest inhabited village, which is know as Kinner village at an altitude of 4,400m. Later drive back to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06: Kaza – Chandratal Lake - Drive: 90 kms. -  Time: 05 hrs. - Altitude: 4,250M
Morning check out from the hotel and drive towards one of the beautiful place Chandratal Take, on arrival check in to the campsite, later free for leisure around the lake. Dinner and overnight stay in the campsite.
Meal: Breakfast & Dinner
 
Day 07: Chandratal lake – Manali - Drive: 120 kms. - Time: 05 hrs. - Altitude: 2,050M
Morning after breakfast check out from the camp site and drive to Manali via Atal tunnel. On arrival check in, Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Meal: Breakfast & Dinner
 
Day 08: Manali – Chandigarh - Drive: 320 kms. - Time: 10 hrs.
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport to take your return flight.
