South India Fam Tour itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Cochin
Arrive Cochin and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Cochin
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Cochin covering The Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jews Street, St.Francis church, Chinese fishing net & The indo-Portuguese Museum. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Cochin - Munnar
After breakfast drive to Munnar and check in at hotel. Munnar is a hill station situated at the confluence of three mountain streams. This beautiful hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling Tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Later Proceed to Mattupetty lake and dam, which is a very beautiful picnic spot. You could enjoy boating in the lake and view mountains and landscapes from afar. Onwards proceed to Echo point famous for the natural echo phenomenon and then to Top Station offering marvellous views of Munnar valley below. Overnight at Hotel, Munnar.
Day 04: Munnar - Periyar
Morning check out from the Hotel & drive to Thekkady . Enroute visiting panoramic western ghat hills covered with spice plantations and occasional view of waterfalls and streams, spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon, clove etc. Arrive Thekkady & check into Hotel. Later go for Boating in Periyar lake( optional) & experience the mind blowing view of calm crystal clear Periyar lake and Sanctuary, different type wild animals while boating . Night stay in Periyar.
Day 05: Periyar - Allepey
Drive to Alleppey to board House Boat/Kettuvallom - A bamboo - thatched canopy sets the ambience for a river cruise that is bound to make you want time to stand still. Nestled within this canopy lies a complete home-unit, giving the comforts of modern living in a truly ethnic setting. Soak in the sun on your own little sun deck, tuck into delicious Kerala cuisine in your personal dinette and watch life go by and as the sun sinks in the horizon, turn in for the night in your spacious, well ventilated bedroom, complete with eco-friendly solar- energized fans and lights and let the gentle lap of water lull your senses to sleep. Overnight in Houseboat.
Day 06: Alleppey - Cochin
After breakfast disembark the boat. In time transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
