Snow Leopard Trek Ladakh itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi           By: Flight

Arrive Delhi by flight. Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. You will be received at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands and proceed to your hotel.

Overnight in Delhi

Day 2: Delhi - Leh              By: Flight

Morning transfer to Delhi airport to board the flight to Leh. After reaching Leh airport you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Spend the day in the hotel for rest and acclimatization.

Overnight in Leh.

Meals: breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 3: Leh

After breakfast, you will be taken for sightseeing of Leh.

After breakfast drive and visit Shey castle, the first King of Ladakh Lachen Palgyigon funded in 11th  century, after some time inside of the monastery built three store  copper gilt Statue of Lord Buddha, like this type of Buddha statue only in shey even not in Tibet, it is made by King Daldan Namgyal as a funerary memorial to his father king Singgey Namgyal in 1633 AD.

After visit Thiksey monastery there are many shines to see manly three story Future Buddha and white Tara Room. After drive to Hemis,  Hemis monastery is the largest monastery in Ladakh belong to Red sect order, four  chambers to visit,  Buddha made by silver and gold, there is also Museum executed very old Thanks Status during the gander art, the monastery is funded in 1650 AD more than 100monk are residence  here, drive back to  Hotel evening our Guide will give you briefing about snow leopard trek .

Day 4: Leh – Hemis National Park

Post breakfast, we shall drive to Phey. We will begin our trekking today and shall walk from Phey along the spectacular gorges of the Indus River to reach Hemis National Park. After reaching the park, we will set our tents for overnight stay.

Meals: breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 05: Hemis National Park

Spend another day for watching snow leopard and its prey. Spend the days tracking snow leopard and wildlife.

Day 06: Hemis National Park - Zingchen – Leh

Say goodbye to your hosts and hike down-valley, past familiar snow leopard haunts and piles of carved Tibetan prayer stones to the road head at Zingchen; Drive 1hrs to Leh and check into a hotel.

Meals: breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 07: Leh – Shingra – Leh

Morning after breakfast drive to Shingra 2.5 Hrs. drive. Start trek on ice/frozen river for few hrs. and back to Shingra. And drive back to Leh for overnight stay in hotel.

Day 08: Leh – Delhi Departure             By: Flight

Early morning transfer to Leh airport and fly to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, check into hotel . Day at leisure to enjoy the winter afternoon in Delhi. Later in the evening transfer to airport to take flight back home
