NUN KUN
Routing through the Suru valley the Nun Kun peaks offer stunning views of the Zanskar ranges, their domineering presence lighting the scenic beauty of Ladakh, an ideal for the adventure buff loaded with dangerous climbs, icefall slopes & edgy cliffs up alongside the Kargil trail. The climb also serves a chance to live through the age-old Buddhist traditions & the serenity of the land – stops at the Sangam, Thiksey, and Hemis monasteries & the majesty of the Shey palace. All in all the trek serves as a challenge to the enthusiast climber infused with the beauty & culture of the land in all its glory…
STOK KANGRI
Stretching in the midst of a white expanse the peak of Stok Kangri offers spectacular views – remote regions with trailing ridges… The feat once conquered looking onto the whole of Zanskar & Indus valley along with views of the Saser peak in the Karakoram Range, embracing beauty like no other, especially marked with the highest trekkable summit located at a height of about 20,500 feet – intriguingly, one that is not as difficult & doesn’t really need a specialized trekker (an experienced one though) to get on the adventure but essentially requires the climber to get properly acclimatized to get through the trek.
MENTOK KANGRI
Drawing its name from a wildflower found in the region, lying amidst the Rupshu plateau in Eastern Ladakh– this one is yet another challenging feat with 3 summit points, plenty with breathtaking scenes especially the ones overlooking the Tso Kar & Tso-moriri landscapes of a bird’s eye view. It offers a chance to experience the remote & rugged terrains inhabited by the famous Changpa nomads, trailing through their settlements, valleys & monasteries along the way with furling colorful Buddhist prayer flags – passing the destinations of Khardung La, Rumptse, Kyamar among others.
KANG YATSE
This trek trails along the Markha valley, stunning views & a hotspot for wildlife lovers – what with majestic peaks like the Saser Massif, Stok Kangri & the Nun Kun & Karakoram ranges in the line of sight & spotting of snow leopard, Marmot, Blue sheep, Ibex among others. The trail dots with Buddhist monasteries like the Shey and Thiksey Gompas furthering on the climb to the 2 summits at about 6400 meters. A great trek for acclimatization, it is but an arduous one involving skill & technique though the journey amounts for an exquisite experience full of exploration, indulging in the local culture, trailing through natural realms & basking in some breathtaking landscapes transcending from rugged terrains to bustling grasslands…
CHAMSER KANGRI
Adjacent to the Mentok Kangri lies yet another spectacular climb & relatively less complex climb at the high altitude of 6620m, the Chamser Trek rising from the eastern banks of lake Tso Moriri lined with spectacular views throughout – river valleys, ridges, glacial lakes and streams – an unforgettable experience in the making. The trek calls for a perfect amalgamation of cultural exposure and thrill offering a challenge to fit and adventurous trekkers.
