The total cost of the project was estimated to be around INR 2,989 crore equivalent to approximately USD 420 million.

The Statue of Unity is located on Sadhu Bet, a riverine island of the Narmada River near the Sardar Sarovar Dam in the vicinity of Narmada district in Gujarat state of India.
