Krishna Cave Temple, Mahabalipuram
Holding the position of the oldest cave temple of the region, the rock cut temple is an elegant piece of art. The carvings show the life of Lord Krishna and gopies around him. Also called ‘Krishna mandapam’, the temple has arjun penance as its neighbor which is believed to be a replica of Arjun’s chariot.
Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai
