Chattisgarh – A land of waterfalls

Chattisgarh is the state in Central India, endowed with a rich cultural heritage and attractive natural diversity. A land of waterfalls known for its natural beauty. Beautiful waterfalls in Chhattisgarh are Akuri Nala and Amrit Dhara waterfalls, Gavar Ghat waterfall, Ramdaha waterfall in Koriya district, Tiger point waterfall at Mainpat in Sarguja district and Chitrakot and Tirathgarh waterfalls in Bastar district.

The Chitrakot Waterfalls is about 38km to the west of and can be seen in the Bastar district of Chattisgarh. The streams of water in Chitrakoot takes a horse shoe type dimension while falling down with a height of around 100 feet. It is best seen during and after the monsoon.

The Tiratgarh waterfalls has a height of 300 feet and the criss-cross path that makes the falling of the stream more enticing. The best time to visit is from October to February. The Mandawa Waterfalls, The Chitradhara waterfall, The Thamada Ghumar waterfall are some of the smaller waterfalls located here.
